Professional Biography:
After graduating from Law School and passing the Bar Exam, I began my career in 1983 as an Assistant State Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in Brevard County, Florida, prosecuting misdemeanors and DUIs, felonies, drug offenses, sexual offenses, and homicides.
In 1986 I entered private practice, concentrating on criminal defense, matrimonial and family law, personal injury and general civil litigation. I began private practice as an Associate with Baugh, Collins, Lintz & Westman in Cocoa, Florida. I later became a Shareholder in the firm, known then as Westman, Lintz, Watson, Thompson & Soileau.
In 1994 I moved my practice to the Suntree area of Melbourne, where I co-founded the law firm of Barker, Klayman & Thompson, which later became Klayman, Thompson & Kontos. In 1999 I opened The Law Office of Jeffrey G. Thompson, P.A., as a sole practitioner.
