Family Law
The term "Family Law" covers a variety of legal matters. Divorce, alimony, child custody, visitation, and child support are obviously included. But Family Law also includes paternity cases, dependency cases (that's where the Department of Children & Families has become involved), termination of parental rights, adoptions, domestic violence injunctions, prenuptial and marital settlement agreements, relocations, modifications of custody, visitation and support, and the many other legal issues that can arise out of any domestic or quasi-domestic relationships.
For more than 20 years, I have represented men, women and children across a broad spectrum of Family Law cases. I understand and appreciate the volatile and sometimes fragile emotions that often affect the parties and children in Family Law cases. That's why I believe it's essential to give my clients objective advice based on the law, without fanning the emotional flames or wasting time and money in futile litigation. If your case can be settled, I'll work to ensure a fair agreement. If a judge will have to decide your case, I'll work to get you prepared and to present your strongest case.
